Mentorship Program

A new UWC mentorship program connecting alumni across generations. Our pilot kicks off in January 2026 and we’re looking for both mentors and mentees in the NYC area to sign up by December 31st, 2025.
 

 



Deadline to sign up is Dec 31st, and we will reach out early January with more info for those who signed up. If you’d like to be part of the program, we’d love to have you.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Any UWC Alum in New York City is welcome to participate as either a Mentor or a Mentee. Use the guidelines below to choose how to participate - you could even do both!

Mentors

  • NYC-based alumni 

​

  • Typically 5+ years professional experience in any field

​

  • 1–8 hours per month commitment (you decide the pace)

​

  • Can support 1–3 mentees depending on capacity

​

  • Values-aligned, enthusiastic, and mission-driven

​

  • No mentorship experience necessary!

Mentees

  • Recent UWC Graduates

Classes 2020–2025 navigating early career decisions

  • Current Undergrads

In college, on a gap year, or planning transitions

​

  • Early-Career Professionals

Typically 0–5 years experience, seeking guidance on jobs, grad school, pivots, or skills

​

  • Anyone seeking support

...on job search, grad school, career pivots, skill-building, or community connection.

HOW THIS WORKS

1

1:1, 1:2, 1:3 Pairings

Flexible mentor–mentee relationships with fortnightly or monthly check-ins. 8–10 month commitment focused on mentee's goals.

Peer Circles

Small cohorts of 5–10 alumni by industry or theme. Monthly meetings for shared learning and mutual support.

Community Events

Launch event, mid-pilot check-in, and end-of-pilot gathering. Plus workshops and social programming.
