UWC Day: Changing Faces of NYC Scavenger Hunt
UWC Day 2018 is about Inspiring Change and in NY, the history of change has been the history of immigrants. We’ll be celebrating the changing faces of NYC with a scavenger hunt of old Manhanttan, learning about historic wave after wave of new-comers (like us!) and their contributions.
Time & Location
Sep 22, 2018, 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM
Pier 16, 89 South St, New York, NY 10038, USA
About The Event
The Changing Faces of NYC Scavenger Hunt starts at 3:30, and you'll get to participate with a team of 3 to 5 people. Bring your friends (UWC or not, all are welcome!) or just come alone and we'll set you up with a group. Everything is walking distance from our starting location, and there are lots of points to be had for creativity as well as finding the clues!
Meet at Pier 16 (89 South St) for your orientation and list of clues. We'll start promptly, if you're late, you'll have less time for your hunt.
At 6:00 we'll finish the scavenger hunt and gather at Brookfield Place for a UWC Day happy hour including friendly discussion about our urban adventures and what we learned. Plus we'll announce the winners of the hunt!
Student Tickets bought after September 1st. You can register for the scavenger hunt solo or with a team Proceeds not used for the event will be donated to the UWC Refugee Scholarship Fund.
