About The Event

On Tuesday, June 25th, dear friend of UWC New York, Carlos Beltran and renowned Venezuelan opposition leader David Smolansky will engage in a spirited conversation about the current crisis in Venezuela and the prospects for a hopeful future at the Center for Brooklyn History (CBH) from 6:30 PM to 8 PM.  Get your tickets for the CBH program via the link!

After the more formal event at CBH's headquarters at 128 Pierrepoint St, we will walk together to have a more relaxed Q&A with Carlos and David over arepas, empanadas, tequeños and assorted Venezuelan delicacies. Get your tickets for that part of our evening program HERE (RSVP Button above).  We will be gathering at this awesome storefront in Atlantic Av we booked via Peerspace.

$25 is the minimum price but we encourage you to be generous; know that every single dollar above $20 will go to fund scholarships for Venezuelan teenagers to attend United World Colleges throughout the world.

On the menu:

  • Arepas
  • Empanadas
  • Tequeños

We'll also have assorted non alcoholic drinks such as: Papelon con Limon (Sugar Cane Juice), Venezuelan Chicha & seltzer. There'll be a cash bar for alcoholic drinks as well

Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy delicious food while supporting a great cause. We hope to see you there,  UWCers at heart always welcome, the more the merrier!!
