Sailing the World Solo for UWC - Q&A and Reception

Called the Everest of the Seas, the Vendee Globe race is a solo, non-stop, non-assisted gauntlet pitting 40 elite sailers against each other. This year our very own James Harayda (UWCSEA '16) will be participating for the first time and raising funds for the newly created UWC Endowment Fund in the process.

James will be in NYC to participate in the preparatory New York Vendee race and UWC New York and UWC International are excited to invite you to learn more about James's lifelong journey to conquer the seas and why he's chosen to partner with the UWC Endowment to raise scholarship funds for future UWC scholars. 

James will be interviewed by David Hawley, former head of Pearson College, followed by an open Q&A and a reception featuring a buffet dinner and an open bar.  Our partner Novofogo will be providing themed cachaça cocktails inspired by the wind.
