House Concert for Ukraine - hosted by UWC New York

As the war in the Ukraine stretches past its first month of appaling murder and destruction; the whole UWC community stands with the Ukrainian people as they fight for their lives and their freedom.

On recommendation from our peers at the Ukranian National Comittee, UWC New York is proud to organize a benefit concert to raise funds for Razom and their emergency response initiative that aims to send lifesaving medical supplies to areas where they are most needed. 

Beatrice Sibbiles (Pearson College), our regular holiday party host, has graciously provided us with access to her beautiful brownstone in Harlem to enjoy an intimate cello concert by Mckinley James and Elie Boissinot; masters' cellists  studying at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University. They have both toured extensively throughout Europe, North America, and Asia performing in halls including the Maison Symphonic in Montreal, Carnegie Hall, and the Berliner Philharmonie. They have won several prestigious competitions including the Golden Violin Prize, the Developing Artist Grant from the Hnatyshyn Foundation, and the Honors Ensemble at New England Conservatory. 

We will use 5$ from each ticket to provide snacks and pizza; the rest will be donated to Razom and is fully tax-deductible. You can choose the UWC Friend, UWC Bestie or UWC Hero ticket options if you're feeling extra generous (and we'll thank you publicly at the party! unless you're shy and don't want that).

Can't make it but want to contribute? Buy a ticket - 100% of your ticket will go to Razom (just check the 'Donation' box during payment)

Music starts at 5:30 so don't be late! Concert will last 45 mins followed by Pizza and drinks

Please Bring Your Own Beverages (BYOB) so we can donate more of the proceeds to the cause ; we'll have pizza after the concert. 

Event address will be shared with you once you purchase a ticket. We have a max capacity of 50 people, so don't wait too long!
