Volunteer with BroSis' Community Garden

For the 1st time this year, we are partnering with Brotherhood SisterSol to re-live our UWC Service days and get our hands dirty for a good cause!

Founded and headquartered in Harlem, BroSis offers far-reaching opportunities for young people across the country to transform their lives and communities. 

We will volunteer at their Urban Garden next to their main facility. We'll end our shift with a delicious bagel lunch from Wonder Bagels (trust us, they live up to their name). Registration fee covers lunch, snacks and drinks

We advise wearing a hat, cool clothing, long pants, sunscreen. Closed-toe shoes are required and bringing a water bottle is recommended (though we will have plenty of water available)   

Volunteer tasks may include:

• Weeding, cultivating, seeding, transplanting, soil preparation, and tending to crops; 
• Grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing and weed whacking;
• General site maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and trash pick up.
