UWC Goes to the Beach (6th Annual!!)

Back for the first time after COVID! 

UWC NYC is hosting its 6th annual beach party at The Rockaways and you're invited to take part in the festivities, just an hour and a half away from the city via Subway or Ferry! We'll start at 10:30 AM and you can enjoy the sunshine until 7:30 PM (or arrive and leave whenever you want to) 

 

There will be a hot tub, food, drinks and the usual one-of-a-kind UWC mixing and mingling! And THE BEACH IS HALF A BLOCK AWAY! (Exact address provided in ticket)

We will also continue our fundraising for Razom for Ukraine and their emergency response initiative that aims to send lifesaving medical supplies to areas where they are most needed. We're asking for a minimum donation of $35 ($20 for starving students everywhere) but if you can afford more, please do! You can choose the UWC Friend, UWC Bestie or UWC Hero tickets.  All donations are fully tax deductible

We raised $2,700 for our benefit concert in April, let's beat that!  

Bring your friends, we want to meet them, non-UWCers and UWCers alike! 

HOW TO GET THERE

The most scenic way to get to the beach is to take the Rockaway Ferry from Pier 11 at Wall St which will drop you off at Beach 108th st. You can take either the free West Shuttle (to Beach 118th st) or the Q22 (to beach 122 st) on Rockaway Beach Blvd or walk 17 mins to the house. Info here in the NYC Ferry website

You can also take the A train to Rockaway Park Station - Beach 116th St and walk 10 mins

WHAT TO BRING

- Swimsuits

- Towels

- Beach appropriate footwear

- Change of clothes (there'll be a place to change) 

- Frisbees, paddles, soccer balls, volleyballs and any other good beach games you'd like to share (we'll have some too) 

WHAT WE'LL HAVE

- Lunch (Burgers / hot dogs / veggies)

- Drinks 

- Snacks

- A pool and a hot tub

- The beach!
